Unlike Bakcou's mid-drive bikes with external derailleurs, this hub motor houses two internal gears, so there's no manual shifting or derailleur to worry about, and a built-in torque sensor keeps the pedal assist smooth and responsive.
How far can I ride on a single charge?
Range depends on terrain, elevation, rider weight, wind, and temperature. Most riders see around 40-60 miles of real-world range on a single battery, and over 100 miles with a dual-battery setup.
Is the Flatlander SD suitable for steep mountain trails?
The Flatlander SD is built for flatlands and rolling hills. Its dual-speed hub motor has enough torque for moderate inclines, but it's not designed for the extreme climbs that Bakcou's mid-drive bikes handle.
Does the bike support Bakcou Connect?
Bakcou Connect is optional on the Flatlander SD. For an added fee, it adds smartphone-based tracking, remote locking, and battery monitoring, with the first year included and subscription fees afterward.
How long does it take to charge the battery?
The included 52V/4A smart charger recharges the 20Ah battery in about 4-5 hours from empty. Charging takes a little longer with a dual-battery setup.

The Flatlander SD comes with a one-year limited manufacturer's warranty covering the battery, frame, motor, controller, wiring harness, and display.
